sundays at Carrick Vineyard

Carrickfergus Vineyard meet every Sunday morning from 10:30 in Carrickfergus Academy Junior Site, on the Downshire Road. Our kids ministries run alongside the service, and CV Youth years 8-11 meet bi-weekly after worship.

Parking and arrival

If you’re our guest, or if you have limited mobility, please feel free to park in the spaces at the front of the school, otherwise we’d ask everyone else to park in the car park to the right of the school building.

You’ll enter the school through the main entrance (you’ll see a big Carrickfergus Vineyard flag). Inside, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly welcome team. There is free tea and coffee available, along with Pain Au Chocolat’s, from 10:15 in the Cafe area. One of our welcome team would be glad to show you the way!

worship

Our service starts at 10:30 with a time of sung worship. Worshipping God through music is just one way we worship here at Carrickfergus Vineyard. We love to sing worship songs to God, to praise Him, to thank Him for all that He is doing in our lives and telling Him how much we love Him.

Bible teaching

After worship there are some announcements as to what is coming up in the life of our church as well as a celebratory story of what God has done in and among us (just another way of worshipping Him!)

After a short break one of the leaders in our church family will share with us a Biblically based talk. Our talks help us understand the Bible a little better by exploring different themes and seeing what the Bible has to say about them. Our talks tend to last between 20 minutes and half an hour. You can listen to most of our talks here.

After the talk there is a time of prayer ministry.

KIDS and youth

Kids - Ages 1 - 11

Our kids’ ministries meet alongside our Sunday service, with check-in open from 10:20. In our two kids environments your children will also explore the Bible through creative, musical and story based activities. For more information on our kids’ ministries click here.

CV Youth - Ages 11 - 18

CV Youth is for everyone in secondary education and meets every Sunday evening from 7 in our town centre venue, Venue 29.

For more information about our youth ministry click here.

Cafe

When the service has drawn to a close, you’re more than welcome to stay for another tea or coffee (water and dilute juice is also available) with a couple of lovely biscuits. We also have a selection of speciality teas and decaffeinated tea and coffee. Oat milk is also available if you need it.

The Cafe is a great place to connect with other people in our church family.

One way in which we are trying to protect God’s creation is by using reusable coffee mugs in the Cafe. If you’re our guest there’s no pressure to bring your own, there are compostable cups available.

What is there for newcomers?

Once a term we have a “Hello & Welcome” evening, if you have just started coming along to Carrickfergus Vineyard you will be warmly invited to join us to hear more about the church, our story, our values and meet some of our team. It’s a great opportunity to meet others who are coming along and to ask any questions you might have.

Our next Hello & Welcome Newcomers Evening is planned for Tuesday 7th May. You can find out more information and let us know you’re coming here.

If you’ve been coming to Carrickfergus Vineyard for a while and are ready to call us your church family, make sure you fill in a connection card, either online or in person on a Sunday morning.

Accessibility

Deena Nimick - our accessibility champion

There is good disability access in the school Hall. There is a disabled toilet available. Our Sunday service and both kids ministries all meet on a ground floor level.

We are proud to be working with Through the Roof whose ‘Roofbreaker’ project aims to break down the barriers faced by disabled people in Christian life. For more information speak to Deena Nimick, our Disability Champion, on a Sunday morning or email info@carrickfergusvineyard.org
